Aryna Sabalenka

Sabalenka was born in Minsk, the capital of Belarus. Sergey, her father (who passed away in 2019), was an ice-hockey player. Aryna Sabalenka was born in Minsk, Belarus on May 5 1998. She holds 12 WTA titles to her name in her career, which includes the Grand Slam of 2023 Australian Open. For doubles she's an excellent player. She has won two Majors with Elise Mertens: the US Open in 2019 and the Australian Open in 2021. Then she also won her Sunshine Double in 2019, by winning in the WTA 1000 at Indian Wells, Miami and the Australian Open with Elise Mertens. This feat was accomplished by four couples playing in the women's doubles. The 23rd of August, 2021 was the day she reached second place on the list of world singles rankings her highest ranking was again reached in January 2023. As a double, she was able to propel herself into first position during February of that same year after the victory in Melbourne being the first tennis player born in Belarus to be a part of the sport of doubles. Her coach was former Russian tennis star Dmitry Tursunov from 2018 until the conclusion of the season in 2019 and from the beginning of 2020. It was also a short time that she teamed up with Dieter Kindlmann between August and September 2020. At the time of her retirement, she's been coaching by her host countryman Antonio Dubrov. Her heroes are Serena Williams and Maria Sharapova.
